Astrologer and tarot card reader Mysterious Marilyn advises Lindsay and Melanie that their wedding is destined to be a disaster. Marilynfs dire prediction soon comes to fruition as a number of things happen: the caterer and banquet hall are closed down due to salmonella poisoning; the jeweller loses Lindsay and Melaniefs custom-made rings; the baker has no record of the order for the cake; Lindsayfs vintage dress returns from the cleaners in tatters; and thunder crashes on the eve of the big event. The succession of adversities leaves a hysterical Lindsay suffering panic attacks and a tearful Melanie pleading with Brian for help.
Although he and Justin plan to forego the nuptials in favor of a fabulous gay party held annually in Miami, Brian immediately takes charge, assigning various tasks to Michael, Ted, Emmett, Debbie and Uncle Vic. For the ceremony, Emmettfs wealthy boyfriend, George, offers his stately mansion, which Emmett, Ted and Michael scramble to decorate. Debbie sews a new dress for Lindsay, while Uncle Vic bakes a cake. Justin decides to act as Lindsay and Melaniefs ring bearer. Just before the wedding and his flight to Miami, Brian surprises Lindsay with exact copies of the lost rings. He also offers his and Justinfs airplane tickets as a honeymoon gift, but Lindsay insists that Brian go to the party. Melanie and Lindsay finally exchange wedding vows before their assembled friends - or in Melaniefs words, gour familyh.
